Emas merupakan mineral atau galian asli yang sering mendapat permintaan yang tinggi di kalangan  masyarakat.  Iabukan  sahaja  disebabkan  oleh  sifatnya  yang  padat,  lembut, berkilat  dan  mudah  ditempa  serta  mulur  malahan  ia  juga  dapat  disimpan  sebagai  satu bentuk  pelaburan  dan  menjadi  simbol  kekayaan  kepada  pemiliknya.  Artikel  ini  adalah bertujuan  untuk  mengenal  pasti tentang  faktor-faktor  yang  mempengaruhi  turun  naik harga  emas  dalam  pasaran.  Selain  itu,  artikel  ini  juga  akan  menjawab  persoalan  tentang harga  emas  yang  kekal  tinggi  dalam  pasaran  walaupun  harganya  sentiasa  mengalami turun  naik  serta  mengenal  pasti  usaha-usaha  yang  perlu  dilakukan  untuk  mendapatkan sumber   baharu   emas   supaya   pengeluarannya   dapat   ditingkatkan   bagi   memenuhi permintaan masyarakat. Akhir sekali kajian ke atas pengalaman YaPEIM dalam produksi emasnya  juga  turut  dibincangkan  dalam  artikel  ini.  Bagi  mencapai  tujuan  tersebut,  data dan  maklumat  yang  diperoleh  daripada  data  primer  akan  dianalisis  supaya  isu-isu  yang timbul   dapat   ditangani   dengan   sewajarnya.   Hasil   daripada   analisis   ini   akan   dapat dijadikan sebagai panduan kepada masyarakat khususnya  yang ingin  memiliki atau  yang telah memiliki emas untuk mengetahui manfaat yang diperoleh apabila menyimpan emas untuk pelbagai tujuan pada masa akan datang.
