Abstract

Sumber visual pada masa kini telah dijadikan sebagai satu bentuk penyampaian dan komunikasi politik yang berkesan. Kepelbagaian visual khususnya satira politik di Malaysia dilihat sebagai ruang untuk membentuk cakna khalayak terhadap sumber ini. Kajian melibatkan satira visual dalam penelitian kuasa dan ideologi jarang diketengahkan oleh para sarjana memandangkan terdapat sensitiviti tertentu dalam menyuarakan pandangan. Kajian ini meneliti kuasa dan ideologi di sebalik visual satira politik Malaysia di media sosial. Kajian ini mengaplikasikan pendekatan kualitatif berdasarkan analisis kandungan visual. Media sosial ‘X’ dijadikan sumber data visual satira politik diperoleh. Penyesuaian teori pula mengguna pakai Analisis Wacana Kritis oleh Fairclough (1995; 2006) dan Teori Semiotik Sosial oleh Kress dan Leuween (1996). Dengan gabungan dan penyesuaian kedua-dua teori ini, kuasa dan ideologi visual dapat dirungkaikan sebaiknya. Hasil kajian mendapati bahawa penghasilan visual satira politik di Malaysia sememangnya mempengaruhi satira yang diketengahkan melalui kuasa dan ideologi di media sosial. Pembinaan kuasa dan ideologi secara visual satira juga dilihat sebagai satu dominasi kritik yang berkesan untuk menyuarakan apa-apa pandangan dalam senario kepolitikan. Oleh itu, kajian ini memberi pengetahuan dan kefahaman tentang kuasa dan ideologi di sebalik visual satira politik dalam konteks politik di Malaysia berpandukan wacana kritis dan semiotik sosial.
