Journal of Creative Industry and Sustainable Culture (JCISC) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and taking all possible measures against publication malpractice.
1. Allegations of Misconduct
JCISC follows the guidelines and flowcharts provided by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) when dealing with allegations of research and publication misconduct (including plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, redundant publication, and improper authorship attribution).
2. Procedures for Investigation
If misconduct is suspected or alleged—whether by reviewers, readers, or internal editors—the Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Board will initiate a formal investigation using the following procedure:
i. Initial Review: The Editor-in-Chief evaluates the evidence provided. The manuscript or published article will be placed on hold during the review.
ii. Communication with Authors: The corresponding author will be contacted and given an opportunity to respond to the allegations within a specified timeframe (typically 14 to 30 days).
iii. Involvement of Institutions: If necessary, the editorial team may contact the authors' home institution or funding bodies to seek clarification or request a formal institutional inquiry.
3. Actions and Sanctions
If an act of misconduct is confirmed, the journal will take appropriate actions depending on the severity of the violation:
i. Before Publication: Immediate rejection of the submitted manuscript and a temporary or permanent ban on future submissions from the authors involved.
ii. After Publication: Issuance of a formal Correction (Corrigendum/Erratum) for minor errors, or a Formal Retraction of the article for serious violations (e.g., severe plagiarism or fabricated data). Retracted papers will remain publicly accessible but clearly marked with a "RETRACTED" watermark alongside a Retraction Notice.
Notification: The authors' institution, relevant funding bodies, or regulatory authorities may be officially informed of the outcome.
