Introduction

Malaysian Journal of Applied Linguistics (MJoAL) is a peer-reviewed journal and it focuses on areas of Applied Linguistics, English Language Studies, European Language Studies and Asian Language Studies. Since Applied Linguistics is an interdisciplinary and problem solving discipline, the scope of the journal covers :

i. Language use in contexts
ii. Language-related problems
iii. Language acquisition
iv. Multilingualism
v. Issues in phonetics, phonology, pragmatics, discourse, language planning, language assessment and others.

 

It is a double-blind peer reviewed, international academic journal published annually (October) by UUM Press and managed by the School of Languages, Civilisation and Philosophy (SLCP), Universiti Utara Malaysia.

Malaysian Journal of Applied Linguistics (MJoAL) is publication fully funded by Universiti Utara Malaysia.

Malaysian Journal of Applied Linguistics (MJoAL) is an open access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles in this journal without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. This is in accordance with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) definition of open access.

Archiving Policy

This journal subscribes LOCKSS and CLOCKSS archival system based at Stanford University Libraries, United Kingdom, through PKP Private LOCKSS and CLOCKSS Network program.
