About and Scope
MJoAL is a peer-reviewed journal and it focuses on areas of Applied Linguistics, English Language Studies, European Language Studies and Asian Language Studies. Since Applied Linguistics is an interdisciplinary and problem solving discipline, the scope of the journal covers :
i. Language use in contexts
ii. Language-related problems
iii. Language acquisition
iv. Multilingualism
v. Issues in phonetics, phonology, pragmatics, discourse, language planning, language assessment and others.
It is a double-blind peer reviewed, international academic journal published annually (October) by UUM Press and managed by the School of Languages, Civilisation and Philosophy (SLCP), Universiti Utara Malaysia.
Malaysian Journal of Applied Linguistics (MJoAL) is publication fully funded by Universiti Utara Malaysia.
