Abstract

This study aims to examine the empowerment of teachers' emotional well-being through the al-Munjiyat approach founded by Imam Abdullah al-Haddad within the psychospiritual framework of Islam. Today's teachers are faced with various emotional challenges due to job pressure, professional demands and increasingly complex social expectations, which have an impact on the quality of teaching and learning. In this context, the al-Munjiyat approach, which emphasizes elements of repentance, reflection, trust, sincerity and appreciation of the relationship of servitude to Allah SWT, is seen as a potential mechanism for strengthening emotions and developing teachers' spiritual well-being holistically. This study uses a qualitative approach through semi-structured interviews involving five Muslim teachers. The study data was analyzed using thematic analysis to identify the influence of al-Munjiyat practices on teachers' emotional well-being. The study findings show that the appreciation of the principles of al-Munjiyat helps teachers manage emotional stress more positively through the development of trust, continuous self-reflection practices and sincerity in carrying out the educational mandate. In addition, this approach also contributes to the formation of emotional resilience, improved interpersonal relationships with students and creating a more harmonious and conducive learning environment. This study contributes to the field of Islamic psychospirituality, especially in strengthening teachers' emotional well-being based on an Islamic spiritual approach. The implications of the study suggest that the al-Munjiyat element be integrated into teacher professionalism development programs as an effort to strengthen emotional resilience, spiritual balance and the formation of a more prosperous educator personality. This study also opens up space for further research related to the Islamic psychospiritual approach in emotional management for various other professional fields.
