Jurnal Pembangunan Sosial (JPS) is a peer-reviewed journal published annually (July) by UUM Press for the School of Applied Psychology, Social Work and Policy, UUM College of Arts and Sciences. Jurnal Pembangunan Sosial (Journal of Social Development) aims to be a leading voice in thought development, research, and professional practice in the field of social development and social sciences particularly in social work, social policy, counselling, correctional and psychology. We publish articles across a wide range of domains and settings of social development including, but not limited to, theoretical analysis, original research using qualitative, quantitative, or mixed methods, community and social interventions, knowledge translation, systematic reviews, scoping reviews, and policy analysis. We seek manuscripts that advance the field of social development both regionally and internationally.
Jurnal Pembangunan Sosial accepts manuscripts on a broad range of issues such as social and economic justice, community empowerment, human well-being, poverty alleviation, social policy, family and youth development, marginalized and vulnerable populations, sustainable environments, and other topics related to societal growth and social welfare. Our articles provide timely and relevant information for researchers, educators, policymakers, and practice professionals.
The journal publishes articles that inform and guide research, policy, and practice relating to human development and the broader field of social sciences. Manuscript submissions reporting on new and important research, forwarding conceptual and theoretical frameworks, presenting and evaluating program and practice innovations, social development and related professional education and training, and public policy-related issues are welcomed. Manuscripts that integrate research, policy, and practice and/or that focus on knowledge translation are also encouraged.
