Applied History Journal of Merong Mahawangsa (AHJMM) is a refereed journal published yearly (July) by Universiti Utara Malaysia for the School of Languages, Civilisation and Philosophy. This journal serves as a medium for sharing of ideas amongst academics, practitioners, experts and researches as well as those interested in the discipline of history. It’s focuses on any writing related to pure history, applied history and public history. AHJMM also accepts articles pertaining to aspects of historical management which relevant to social sciences, nationhood studies, religion, civilisation, philosophy and thoughts which are parallel to the fields advocated promoted by UUM. AHJMM is an open access journal and practices the principle of single-blind review by expertise both from abroad or local referees. AHJMM is publication fully funded by Universiti Utara Malaysia.

Applied History Journal of Merong Mahawangsa (AHJMM) is an open access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles in this journal without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. This is in accordance with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) definition of open access.

Archiving Policy

This journal subscribes LOCKSS and CLOCKSS archival system based at Stanford University Libraries, United Kingdom, through PKP Private LOCKSS and CLOCKSS Network program.
